The EU aspires to lead in deep-tech innovation by fostering collaboration between top talent and leading companies to develop breakthrough solutions. The Regional Innovation Valleys (RIVs) aim to bridge innovation gaps across Europe by connecting regions, including those with lower innovation performance, and supporting deep-tech projects aligned with EU priorities. This initiative will fund interregional innovation efforts to strengthen Europe’s position in wellbeing and sustainable transitions. Technology-based innovations, especially in healthcare, are pivotal to EU policies, enhancing quality of life for 448 million citizens and offering significant investment opportunities. A key focus is on Personalised Medicine, which anchors the European Health Union and represents a transformative step in the EU’s technology-driven healthcare evolution
