North East Regional Development Agency

North East Regional Development Agency (North-East RDA) is the non-governmental organization, of public utility, non-profit, which contributes to reducing regional disparities by stimulating the economic, social, and cultural development of the North-East Region in Romania. North-East RDA is the managing authority of the Regional Programme 2021 – 2024 , Intermediary Body for some interventions of the Health National Programme and acts as catalyst of regional development, creating cooperation bridges and supporting international collaborations on behalf of regional stakeholders, based on the strong network of partners, developing communication channels, and collaborating openly and equally with all quadruple helix representatives. In order to facilitate the development of an innovative health eco-system, North East RDA is one of 5 founding members of the North-East Innovative Regional Cluster for Structural and Molecular Imaging (Imago•Mol Cluster) and it is continuously supporting the development of collaborative innovative projects aiming to contribute to goal 3 – Good Health & Wellbeing of the Sustainable Development.

Alina Capitanu. Head of External Projects Office within North East RDA and Vice-President of Imago-Mol Cluster, facilitates the development of the regional healthcare innovation ecosystem and increasing the accessibility & quality of the medical services for the benefit of the population, the background being in Juridical & Administrative Sciences and Master degree in Cluster Tourism Development. Experienced in regional development, project management and actively contributed to IMAGO-MOL setting up 14 years ago and further catalysed the development and implementation of regional healthcare projects portfolio. One of the main professional goals is to connect the regional health ecosystems to the European ones, representing the North in the Smart Specialisation Platform for Personalised Medicine (S3P4PM), Vanguard Initiative – Smart Health Pilot, Council of European Bio Rregions, but also of the global network ECHAlliance, aiming to facilitate the transfer of know how needed to support the innovative transformation of the regional healthcare ecosystem. Additionally, the goal to develop the MEDIC NEST Meta Cluster in Precision Medicine during a COSME Programme is currently an important achievement as the alliance started with 4 founding member and currently we are counting 19 clusters across Europe, developing European projects dedicated to interconnect the regional healthcare ecosystems, such as InnoMedCatalyst (I3 2b project) and Clusters4Health (EU Ukraine Cosme Cluster Partnership)
