Business Region Göteborg is responsible for business development in the City of Gothenburg and represents 13 municipalities in the region. We are fully owned by the City of Gothenburg. Our goal is to contribute to the creation of more job opportunities, thereby fostering sustainable growth in the business community of the Gothenburg region. We do this by offering knowledge and connections that create opportunities for those who want to start, establish, or develop businesses in the region.

Iris Ohrn

Investment Advisor for Life Sciences, Business Region Göteborg
Mrs. Öhrn is a biochemist, PhD, MBA, with over 15 years of experience as a Life Science and healthcare professional working in an international environment with matters related to scientific research, business development, technology transfer, internationalisation and financing. Currently employed as an Investment Advisor at Business Region Göteborg, Mrs. Öhrn provides advise and support to key executives from international investment firms and Fortune 500 companies looking to expand their business into West Sweden and /or in search for novel breakthrough technologies that could impact or disrupt the market.
She is involved in several European and international organizations either as an expert or as a member of the board i.e. OECD, Scanbalt Bioregion or the European Commission to mention a few. Through her work she is committed to increasing the exchange of technology between countries around the world as well as to helping build cross-border innovation ecosystems.
