FORTH-ICS

The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) is one of the ten institutes of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), a major national Research Centre located in Crete, Greece. The mission of ICS-FORTH is to perform high quality basic and applied research, to promote education and training, and to contribute to the development of the Information Society, at a regional, national, and European level. Established in 1983, ICS-FORTH has ever since been playing a leading role in conducting research in Greece and internationally, in the field of Information and Communication Technologies. These technologies are bringing innovation in everyday activities, aiming to improve the quality of life in all its manifestations.

Apostolos Dimitriadis

Business Development & Innovation Manager
Dr Apostolos Dimitriadis is Business Development & Innovation Manager at FORTH-ICS with more than 10 years of experience in innovation support and technology transfer in executive roles. He has led various teams offering advanced services, being responsible for strategy, business development, team skills development, capacity building and coordination of activities. Having studied in the UK (University of Durham) and worked in international collaboration projects, he rejoices in collaborating with teams having diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Apostolos has an extensive network in Greece and all over Europe with professionals of diverse skills and experiences and is leveraging his connections to bring people together and liaise in matchmaking. A competent fundraiser, he has been actively involved in the attraction of over €70Μ (DEP, Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, FP7, SMP, COSME, CIP, NSRF-ΕΣΠΑ, HFRΙ-ΕΛΙΔΕΚ, private sources) for projects involving SMEs, RTOS, Universities and public agencies in Greece and the EU in his field of expertise.
